(Solved) (Latest ver. Aug 2020) - causes for the decline of the songbirds

Brief item decscription

Item details:

Question:

Many migratory songbirds, such as warblers, are declining. Evidence suggests that some of these birds might be victims of pesticides. Most of the pesticides implicated in songbird mortality have not been used in the United States since the 1970s. I suggest a hypothesis to explain the current decline in songbird numbers. I also design an experiment that could test the hypothesis.
